Friends of Brian House Raise Staggering £100,000!

The Friends of Brian House was established in June 2000 under the chairmanship of John Ismay. Its brief was to raise the awareness and much needed funds from across the three boroughs of Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre.

Over the last six years the group has raised a staggering £100,000.00 through a variety of events such as collections at local supermarkets, quiz nights, coffee mornings etc, but their main event remains the annual Blackpool to Fleetwood Sponsored Walk. Here, hundreds participate, walking along the promenade from North Pier to the Marine Hall at Fleetwood, people of all ages helping to support Brian House.

The group is always on the look out for new members to help in their quest, and it is recognised that for many it may be difficult to assist all the time but a few hours over the year would be greatly appreciated. If you feel you could help please get in touch.

John sadly had to step down from the Chair due to pressure of work. The current Chairman is Sheila Swann who is always happy to greet any new members or answer any questions that you may have.

Why not come and join us?
We meet at 7.30pm on the first Thursday of the month at The Stable Hall, All Hallows Church at All Hallows Road, Bispham.

We are a lively, vibrant group of dedicated volunteers, nurses, parents and friends. Various events to raise awareness and funds are at present being organised but of course we are always on the look-out for more ideas.
